The Central Iowa Metropolitan League (CIML) will change with the start of the 2012-2013 school year in August.  With the upcoming addition of Ankeny Centennial High School to the league in 2013-2014, league member schools began the process of realignment in April 2010.  After a year’s worth of study and debate, the new look CIML was formed.

Although Ankeny Centennial will not join the fold until 2013-2014, league members pressed ahead with realignment for the 2012-2013 school year due to the cycle of schedules.  The current schedule cycle expired at the conclusion of the 2011-2012 school year.  A new, four-year cycle of scheduling will begin this fall (2012-2013 school year).
