On December 2, 2009 Urbandale High School had 28 students audition for the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association (SCIBA) Honor Band.

15 Urbandale students were selected for participation in a January 8, 2011 performance to be held at 6 PM at Drake University�s Harmon Fine Arts Center.
