Peppmeier Retires After 28 Years

Longtime Boys Golf Coach Dennis Peppmeier's retirement was approved by the Board of Directors of the Urbandale Community School District on Monday night and on Tuesday night, he was honored for his 28 years of service to the Boys Golf Program in front of the home crowd in the South Gym.

Along the way, Peppmeier held many other roles in the District from teacher to coach to bus driver.  His 28 years, in two separate stints, stretches back to the 1970s.  During his time as coach, the J-Hawks won two Conference Championships and qualified for the State Meet most recently in 2005.
