2011 All State Chorus

2011 All State Chorus

On Saturday, October, 2011, 27 students from Urbandale High School auditioned for the Iowa All-State Chorus.  The selection process is very competitive, with approximately 17% of those who auditioned being selected to participate in the All-State Music Festival in Ames, Iowa on Nov. 17 – 19, 2011.  It is the highest individual honor a student can receive from the Iowa High School Music Association.

Urbandale students who audition for the Iowa All-State Chorus undertake a rigorous process of biweekly quartet rehearsals, study with private teachers, multiple mock auditions, and hours of individual and quartet practice time.  The following 27 Urbandale students should be applauded for their dedication and exceptional representation of themselves and their community.
