Allen Lazard scored two touchdowns off interceptions in less than 45 seconds in the first quarter and the J-Hawks raced to a 54-8 victory.

With the win, Urbandale moves to 1-0 on the season and will travel to Fort Dodge on Friday, September 2, 2011, to face the 1-0 Dodgers.

After Lazard scored twice, Redzo Ibisevic fell on a fumble in the endzone for the third score of the game.  Cory Moore then raced 49 yards for a touchdown to close out the 1st Quarter.  Ben Hurley and Markell Colemon added touchdowns in the 2nd Quarter before Allen Lazard intercepted yet another pass for a touchdown.  Urbandale led 47-0 at half.

King Nahn added the final score for the J-Hawks on the night in the 3rd Quarter with a 35 yard scamper.

Hoover added a score late in the 4th Quarter.  The final, Urbandale 54, Hoover 8.
