On Saturday, December 8, 2012, Urbandale High School’s Jazz Band I and Jazz Band II performed at the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association’s district jazz festival held at Waukee High School.   Cited for outstanding performances were Senior - Krista Yourstone, Junior - Ivory Hanson, Sophomore - Nik Kemp, and Freshman - Tom Plank.
