NSCAA Honors J-Hawks with Academic Award

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has awarded the 2011 Urbandale Girls Soccer team with its Team Academic Award.

The J-Hawks boasted a Team GPA of 3.81 during the 2011 season. The qualification threshold is a 3.25 team GPA.

Urbandale is just one of 350 soccer teams (135 boys, 215 girls) nationwide that received the award and the only Iowa girls team. 2011 marked the 8th consecutive year that the J-Hawks received the award.
