Pending Board approval, Urbandale is proud to announce the appointment of Jeff Sand as the new Head Boys Wrestling Coach, effective for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Coach Sand brings years of experience and leadership to the role, having served as the Head Assistant Coach under longtime Head Coach Mike Moreno. During his tenure, Coach Sand has played a pivotal role in the development of the wrestling program and its student-athletes, contributing to both the competitive success and positive culture of the team.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Jeff Sand serves as a dedicated social studies teacher at Urbandale High School. His impact in the classroom mirrors his work on the mat—mentoring students, fostering critical thinking, and building strong relationships.
