Urbandale hosts the 2019 Urbandale Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Frerichs Field on the campus of Urbandale High school.

Here are a few reminders to help make your experience more enjoyable:

The opening ceremonies will commence at 3:25pm followed by the first band of the day, IKM-Manning, at 3:32pm.  Bands will then perform in competition until Urbandale takes the field in exhibition at 9:40pm.  The event will conclude with the Awards Ceremony at 10:00pm.  All performances will be live streamed on J-Hawks Live.  A full schedule is listed below.

Admission for all, including students in grades K-12, is $6.00.  CASH ONLY – checks and credit/debit cards are not accepted at the gate.

The Pass Gate is located to the left of the ticket booth.  If you have an Urbandale High School Student Activity Ticket, Senior Pass, Booster Club Pass, or are volunteering at this event, please go directly to the Pass Gate. 

There is construction taking place at Urbandale High School as we work toward the completion of a new Fitness Center. The impact of this construction on the parking lot is minimal but you will notice a few parking spaces unavailable due to the construction equipment and work trailers; however, the school and stadium remain accessible.

Outside food or drink is prohibited at Frerichs’ Field.  Each spectator may bring in one (1) un-opened, sealed bottle of water.  No ice chests, cans, glass containers, or other non-personal containers are permitted.

Tailgating is permitted after 5:00 p.m. in the Main Parking lot at Urbandale High School; however, no open flames are permitted.  Tailgaters are asked to be respectful and remove any trash from the property prior to entering the stadium.  Alcohol, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes are NOT permitted on any UCSD property.

Pets are not permitted inside Frerichs’ Field.  Service dogs with appropriate credentials are permitted and welcome.

If you feel the need to wear a costume, please note that masks are not allowed.

Noisemakers, signs, banners, and flags are not permitted.  No fireworks, laser pointers, confetti, or talcum/baby powder is permitted.

There is handicapped parking in the East Lot near the stadium on a first-come, first-served basis on game night.  The stadium itself is handicapped accessible with easy access to wheelchair and companion seating.

Check at the main gate during the event.  After the event, fans may contact Urbandale High School on Monday following the game at 515-457-6800.
