The Urbandale J-Hawks delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, defeating the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks 5–0 in the Class 3A Region 2 semifinal at Frerichs Field.

Urbandale established control early, netting two goals in the first half and adding three more after the break. Sophomore Chris Boina contributed with a goal, while junior Kenin Kapic provided two assists. Goalkeeper Blake Bullerman recorded two saves, securing a clean sheet for the J-Hawks.

This victory advances Urbandale to the Region 2 final, on Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. at Frerichs Field. Bringing them one step closer to a state tournament appearance. The J-Hawks now hold a 10–4 record on the season.
