The J-Hawks Girls Tennis team is off to a dynamic and determined start this season, showing both strength and resilience on the court. The team opened the year in dominant fashion, rolling to a 10-1 victory over Des Moines Lincoln and following it up with a strong 8-3 win against Indianola, setting the tone early.

The middle stretch of the season brought challenges, as the J-Hawks fell to a tough Dowling Catholic team, 10-1, and then dropped another match 9-2 to Waukee Northwest, both perennial powerhouses in the state.

But the J-Hawks weren't rattled. Instead, they responded with authority—first by sweeping Ankeny Centennial 11-0 on Senior Night, delivering a perfect performance to celebrate their upperclassmen, and then continuing their momentum with another 11-0 sweep over Dallas Center-Grimes in their latest meet.

With energy surging and confidence building, the J-Hawks are shaping up as a team to watch as postseason play approaches.
